Sheikh Tamim and Michel dis­cussed ways to boost mutual co­op­er­a­tion in the fields of en­ergy, econ­omy, in­vest­ment, cul­ture, sport and health. The two also ex­changed views on re­gional and in­ter­na­tional devel­op­ments, par­tic­u­larly the cur­rent chal­lenges in the Middle East and Europe, no­tably the threat of ter­ror­ism and ways to com­bat and up­root it as well as elim­i­nate its sources of fi­nanc­ing.

The Emir and the prime min­is­ter wit­nessed the sign­ing of a deal for the op­er­a­tion of com­mer­cial flights be­tween the two coun­tries; they also wit­nessed the sign­ing of a co­op­er­a­tion agree­ment be­tween Qatar Univer­sity and the Univer­sity of Has­selt.
