Caribbean on Track for Olympic Glory

SHE Carribean Magazine - - LETTERS/EDITOR'S PLACE -

Too many times it seems like the rest of the world appreciate Caribbean athletes than our own. Yes, we follow cricket and swimming seems to be developing but why is there more concentration on athletics? SHE's article joined the queue. However, recently St Lucia's Darren Sammy was made an ambassador for BMW, the first Caribbean person to have a spanking new BMW convertible to use as his own for the next two years. I can understand why he was chosen as he seems a man of integrity, despite that horrible dance cricketers seem to be performing these days… better to do that than test positive for drugs which shamed a Jamaican athlete recently, (who we all looked up to.) All this really to say, I enjoyed having sports in SHE Caribbean and I hope the next sporting injection features more females.
