Clarks in Jamaica is a 21-song compilation album released in October by VP/Greensleeves Records. It contains songs by dancehall/reggae artistes saluting the British shoe that is synonymous with Jamaican music. The album is companion to a 2012 book of the same name by British graphic designer/writer/reggae fan Al ‘DJ Al Fingers' Newman. Some of the songs on the album are Clarks Booty Skank by Trinity, Dillinger's CB200, Super Cat's Trash and Ready and Clarks Booty by Little John. Officially established as C & J Clark International Ltd. in 1825 and headquartered in Somerset, England, Clarks is one of the world's oldest shoe manufacturers. Their products have been popular with Jamaicans for over 60 years.
