AN OUTFIT A DAY?

The Star (St. Lucia) - Life Begins 2 Nite - - CONTENTS - Nasha

It’s great to be confident and grounded in high selfesteem. In fact, kudos to those who can turn a blind eye to the negativity and accentuate the positives. But some take it just a bit too far and quite frankly need a reality check.

An acquaintance shared that she is wary of wearing the same outfit twice, lest she be photographed and exposed on social media. Let us be clear. This person is not a celebrity by any means, if only in her head. Have we become so warped by social media platforms that we have now blurred the lines between fantasy and reality? It’s natural to want to look your best but the majority of us are not so fortunate to have a different outfit for everyday of the year. That also sounds exhausting; having to literally keep up with the Kardashians.

And from what I know being confident is not worrying about what other people might think, but being true to you despite their opinions.

Can you keep up?
