Saint Lucia and the music world… we introduce, ‘KDUBB’. Born Kyle Warrell on May 16, 1993 to a British Father and Saint Lucian Mother, KDUBB is a Marisule boy but has lived in England and Dominica. A past student of the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School and graduate of Monroe College with a degree in criminal justice, the young recording ar tist’s musical journey began in early 2010.
“I star ted off after secondary school writing music, recording demos and putting my work online. I was getting some really good feedback and two producers who were relatively new at the time, Izzy Hallburg and Alex Syke, were launching their Underground Record Label, Frusty Records in Miami, Florida. They were interested in me doing demos for them and later on signed me as their demo ar tist and writer.”
The team decided to take it even fur ther, and KDUBB began working on his Debut release in 2013.
KDUBB comes for th with his talents in song-writing along with singing with the release his debut album, "Searching For Summer" for the year 2014. An exclusive album with genres such as EDM, R&B, Hip Hop/Rap and Reggae, KDUBB's goals are to show just how diverse St Lucian & Caribbean music really is.
After working on the project for almost two years, the 24track studio album, which was initially meant to be a mixtape/ demo effor t, features a diverse catalogue of music genres and producers. The album draws inspiration from other ar tists like Chris Brown, Drake, August Alsina, along with caribbean music on a whole. Productions from Trap Killaz, League Of Starz, MadHouse, ED Mafias, Stereo George and instrumental beats from european wonder, Mar tin Garrix, all in sync with the stylings and compositions of Syke & Izzy. ‘Searching For Summer’ was released November 27, 2014 as a true Thanksgiving treat and promises to have the world singing.
