JAZZ OPENER

The Star (St. Lucia) - Life Begins 2 Nite - - CONTENTS - Photos by David Pascal

Thursday night marked the official opening of the 2015 Jazz Festival and what a grand entrance it was with reggae prince Chronixx and the self proclaimed queen of bacchanal Destra Garcia burning up Mindoo Phillip Park. (Literally and figuratively.) The festivities continued in Soufriere with the Original Bouyon Band and Jah Cure playing well into the wee hours of Saturday where Carimi and Zouk Machine awaited at Fond d’Or. Local acts were also a huge part of the programme. The Invader, Arthur, Sedale, Avot Service, Future Lights, Karma and Evalucian were all on the bill.
