JAZZ 2015

The Star (St. Lucia) - Life Begins 2 Nite - - FRONT PAGE -

Friday night set the tone for the long-awaited jazz weekend. And if the performances on this evening were any indicator, what was to come would be spectacular. Opening the show was a fusion dance/performance arts group, Protégé with a multi layered theatrical piece. Local reggae artiste Meshach did St Lucia proud with a stunning set. Barbados’ Krosfyah showed why they have had staying power with a power performance of their hits and some of the best known Caribbean songs. Closing out the evening was Jamaican reggae star Beres Hammond, who had the ladies swooning with his smooth delivery of lovers rock classics. This night was one for the ages.

A local cultural explosion from Protégé.
