The 2015 Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival certainly lived up to its name this year by providing more opportunities for local artisans in various aspects of the creative sector to be showcased. One of the major components of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival this year was the “Arts Village” at Rodney Bay, between the JQ Mall and the Bay Walk shopping Mall. There, on a daily basis during the festival, local artisans showcased their work in paintings, ceramics, pottery, bags and other items which were also on sale. Later on in the day several performers including Ronald “Boo” Hinkson, Kayo and Michael Robinson, had an opportunity to showcase their talent. The Arts Village also provided a platform for up and coming musicians.
