Sunday In The Park

The Star (St. Lucia) - Life Begins 2 Nite - - JUICY LOCAL GOSSIP! - Photos by David Pascal.

Bringing the 2015 Jazz & Arts Festival to a close, the Sunday mainstage session was crammed with families celebrating Mothers Day along with music aficionados from all over the world. Derede Williams made a welcome comeback to Pigeon Island, opening the show with her signature power vocals, and the School of Music jazz band had the audience on their feet from the side stage. Who cares if everyone was waiting for Robin Thicke to do "that song" - it was worth the wait as the park went wild. But the loudest cheers of the weekend were reserved for Jimmy Cliff, who took an enthralled audience way back with classic hits like "You Can Get It If You Really Want" and "The Harder They Come," and enough energy to power the lights of Rodney Bay!
