KFC Em­ployee Douses Man with Hot Oil

A32 year-old woman of Sea Lots Trinidad ap­peared be­fore a Port of Spain Mag­is­trate Court Wed­nes­day morn­ing charged with caus­ing griev­ous bod­ily harm to 28 year-old Shammy Gonzales on Mon­day at KFC Barataria.

Erica Fon­rose of Sea Lots, stood be­fore Mag­is­trate Aden Stroude. Fon­rose is ac­cused of throw­ing hot oil on Gonzales after an al­ter­ca­tion at the Fast Food Out­let. Eye­wit­ness re­ports al­lege that Gonzales slapped Fon­rose across the face with a stack of KFC pa­per bags, which even­tu­ally lead to her at­tack­ing him with the hot oil as he made his way to­wards his ve­hi­cle.

Gonzales re­ceived sec­ond de­gree burns on the up­per half of his body dur­ing the in­ci­dent. He is still warded at Hos­pi­tal.

Mean­while Pres­tige Hold­ings Limited is­sued a state­ment to­day in­di­cat­ing that it is aware of the in­ci­dent and it is co­op­er­at­ing fully with the po­lice as crim­i­nal in­ves­ti­ga­tions into the mat­ter con­tinue. Photo: The KFC Out­let in Trinidad where the in­ci­dent oc­curred.
