The Min­istry of So­cial Trans­for­ma­tion, with the as­sis­tance of the OECS Com­mis­sion and the United States Agency for In­ter­na­tional De­vel­op­ment (USAID), hosted a two day work­shop en­ti­tled “In­sti­tu­tional Frame­work for Man­age­ment of Re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion Cen­tres for Ju­ve­niles” on Thurs­day Novem­ber 13th and Fri­day Novem­ber 14th at the Palm Haven Ho­tel, Rod­ney Bay Gros Islet.

The pur­pose of the work­shop was to pro­vide train­ing in man­ag­ing fa­cil­i­ties us­ing a child-rights ap­proach. The train­ing is in prepa­ra­tion for the im­ple­men­ta­tion of an Op­er­a­tions Man­ual and Qual­ity As­sur­ance Frame­work de­vel­oped by UWI Con­sult, of Univer­sity of the West Indies, Ja­maica.
