Defoe Inquiry Underway

The Star (St. Lucia) - - LOCAL -

economic issues a country has to deal with and if you were once or are part of the puzzle, then that contributes to its economic instability. Still many will not see this; they will only see and believe in the concept of white is right and black is wrong.

I think he was instrumental in founding the St. Lucia School of Music as well as the Morne educational complex, if memory serves me well.

-Mark Laporte Rick, my wife and I want you to use your show to really take on the truth about those fugs and make it known to us you have the facts. Tell all that we should know about those who protest and say they love St. Lucia when they don’t give a damn; tell us as it is. My wife wants to hear some real talk that makes sense.

There can only be one of two reasons why this so called inquest keeps dragging: 1. there is no one competent person on the island to carry out such an investigation or 2. the government is playing cover up.

Listen, there are procedures in place for the inspection of electrical installation in relation to hotels including Juliette’s Lodge. Certificates are issued once the authorities are satisfied that the installation of electrical wiring meets the required safety standards. When was the last time before the incident that the hotel was inspected? What was the outcome of that report? Did they follow up? Did the hotel have a clean bill of health, or was it asked to upgrade any part of its operation, satisfying the required Safety Codes? And, if so, what was the response of the owners of Juliette’s Lodge? Cut to the chase.
