Art enthusiasts and the general public are invited to an art exhibition featuring fine artist Jonathan Gladding (JAG) as he stages his most recent collection of works at The Inner Gallery from now until the 6th December, 2014.

Gladding has produced a wonderful array of works, full of colour and culture in his unique style of realism. His medium is oil on canvas; the sizes vary widely. With over forty paintings on display, there is something for everyone in this collection, with his paintings bursting with the artistic inspiration that we have come to love as a signature part of his work. The artist’s love of Saint Lucia is vividly evident throughout his artwork; his accomplished talent undeniable.

When asked about the artwork, Curator Rachael du Boulay says, “I have so many favourites in this 2014 collection of recent works by Jonathan Gladding (JAG) titled “Twadisyon”, that I find it impossible to choose just one piece. I am also so looking forward to the joy and excitement that guests experience when they get one on one with the paintings and experience their favourites intimately.”

The programme of events also includes on Friday 28th November, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm a Schools’ Open House with the artist, scheduled at The Inner Gallery, and on Saturday 29th November, the artist himself will be at the Baywalk Mall, 2nd Floor between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm doing a painting demonstration.

Two of Gladding’s paintings will also be auctioned to raise funds for ECHO-Lab and Pawasol pou ti Mamay. ECHO-Lab is short for the Environmental Conservation and Heritage Organization of Laborie, established April 16th, 1992 by a group of teachers. Their Mission Statement is to develop awareness of the need to conserve the natural and cultural environment, and promote sustainable living practices through community education and community participation. Pawasol pou ti Mamay - Umbrella for the little Kids - is a charity which raises funds for children in Saint Lucia.
