Scotiabank Fair

The Star (St. Lucia) - - LOCAL -

The Bank of Nova Scotia returned to the William Peter Boulevard Saturday for another successful loan fair.

The day-long event saw scores of persons taking advantage of the opportunity to enquire into the possibility of loans from the bank to finance their personal and family needs, whether the purchase of a new vehicle or home improvement for the approaching festive season.

In addition, a number of business houses were given the opportunity to participate in the activity by setting up small units manned by their employees to deal with inquiries from the public.

Car dealers, including JQ Motors, Northwest Limited, Beachcomber and Peter and Company, took part in the event as well as providers of other services.

Once a prospective customer had identified his or her needs, they were then ushered into the Bank to negotiate their loan. Most loans were promptly approved there and then.

Carol Henry, Scotiabank’s Personal Banking Manager, expressed satisfaction with the day’s activity.

“It was another successful loans promotion by the bank and we are grateful to the number of people who took advantage of the opportunity to either do business with us on the spot, or to make inquiries about our various services,” he said.

Loan fairs have been widely used by Scotiabank in recent times as a promotional tool for its loans portfolio. The bank is this year observing the 50th anniversary of its coming to St. Lucia.

Similar loan fairs were also held Saturday at the Rodney Bay and Vieux Fort branches.
