along the South-East Coast of Saint Lucia’. This Project is part of a wider capacity building initiative for marine protected areas management in the OECS administered by the UNEP-CEP Specially Protected Areas and Wildlife (SPAW) Program and its Regional Activity Center (SPAW-RAC) and the Caribbean Marine Protected Areas Management Network (CaMPAM). The initiative falls under the project coordinated by The Nature Conservancy (TNC) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
Compilation of available data, studies and reports on the PSEPA including all biological research both terrestrial and within the marine and freshwater environment; all socio-economic assessments of communities found within or adjacent to the PSEPA; environmental health studies associated or likely to have some relevance to the site, fisheries stock assessments including annual lobster and sea urchin population studies; and resource extraction reports or assessments. The consultant is also expected to include all research studies conducted at the Maria Islands Wildlife Reserve, the Mankòtè Mangroves area and within the Savannes Bay. Any tourism data such as hotel occupancy rates should also be included. Review the research conducted and any resulting conclusions, recommendations for further actions, and prepare a summary report detailing chronologically, the studies and recommendations. summaries where appropriate of all research papers, reports, assessments, data information related to the resources within and socio-economic conditions within the PSEPA and copies of the documents included in the compilation; and
