• The in­cum­bent will be re­spon­si­ble for con­duct­ing mar­ket re­search, gath­er­ing mar­ket in­tel­li­gence and main­tain­ing a sta­tis­ti­cal data­base on the Tourism In­dus­try in Saint Lu­cia.

Spe­cific Re­spon­si­bil­i­ties:

Col­lect and main­tain a data­base of tourism statis­tics Over­see and gen­er­ate re­ports on re­search ac­tiv­i­ties con­ducted by the depart­ment Gen­er­ate re­ports to in­form of in­dus­try per­for­mance and con­straints af­fect­ing the tourism in­dus­try Pro­vide in­for­ma­tion and in­tel­li­gence on trends in lo­cal, re­gional and in­ter­na­tional travel and tourism

Re­quired Skills & Qual­i­fi­ca­tions:

Bach­e­lor’s De­gree in Eco­nomics, Statis­tics, Mar­ket Re­search, Tourism Mar­ket­ing/ Man­age­ment or re­lated field, with a min­i­mum of three (3) years’ ex­pe­ri­ence in mar­ket re­search Demon­strated abil­ity to an­a­lyze data and iden­tify trends Strong in­ter­per­sonal, oral and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills Self-di­rected, en­thu­si­as­tic team player with a strong de­sire to suc­ceed Pro­fi­ciency in elec­tronic man­age­ment sys­tems, spread­sheet and data­base pro­grammes, par­tic­u­larly SPSS
