Boguis R.C. Pri­mary School 50th An­niver­sary

Mon­day, 24th Novem­ber saw the Boguis Ro­man Catholic Pri­mary School burst in colours of gold and green to cel­e­brate the school’s 50th An­niver­sary.

The Babon­neau-based school in­vited teach­ers and stu­dents, well-wish­ers and the area MP Alv­ina Reynolds to help cel­e­brate their grand achieve­ment.

The cer­e­mony be­gan with a mass at the assem­bly hall where the pre­sid­ing priest blessed all, with hopes and good wishes for the year. Prin­ci­pal Ma­rina Ju­lian-Joseph led over the awards cer­e­mony where she gave the prin­ci­pal ad­dress.

The pro­ceed­ings were sup­ported by sev­eral past prin­ci­pals and teach­ers who gave out awards and made speeches.

The stu­dents were not to be out­done, and used the op­por­tu­nity to un­veil the new school song. The chil­dren sang the trib­ute to their alma mater with gusto, ac­com­pa­nied by Ms. Moriguchi, a Ja­panese vol­un­teer in Mu­sic for Ed­u­ca­tion Of­fice Dis­trict One.

Boguis R.C. Pri­mary School wishes to thank the staff, past stu­dents and prin­ci­pals, LUCELEC and all well-wish­ers for their support in cel­e­brat­ing their golden ju­bilee.
