Babon­neau Na­tional Day Ac­tiv­i­ties An­nounced

The Babon­neau Con­stituency Coun­cil and the Of­fice of the Par­lia­men­tary Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Hon­or­able Alv­ina Reynolds have or­ga­nized a pro­gramme of ac­tiv­i­ties to cel­e­brate the “Twinning of Babon­neau with the town of Grand Bourg, Marie Galante, Guade­loupe.”

The ac­tiv­i­ties com­menced on Thurs­day 11th with an Open Air Con­cert on the grounds of the Boguis Pri­mary School with the Royal St. Lu­cia Po­lice Band.

Ac­tiv­i­ties move into high gear on Fri­day 12th De­cem­ber, with the ar­rival of a del­e­ga­tion from Grand Bourg, Marie-Galante. The del­e­ga­tion com­prises Mayor Madame Maryse Et­zol and Coun­cil­lors, along with the Di­rec­tor and stu­dents of Grand-Bourg High School.

While on is­land, Madame Et­zol and the Par­lia­men­tary Rep­re­sen­ta­tive Hon­or­able Alv­ina Reynolds will sign a joint dec­la­ra­tion which will con­trib­ute to the con­sol­i­da­tion of friend­ship be­tween the town of Grand Bourg and the Babon­neau con­stituency.

Another ma­jor event will be the Babon­neau Farm­ers’ Mar­ket which will be held on the Babon­neau Church and School grounds on De­cem­ber 13th Na­tional Day, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This ac­tiv­ity pro­vides an op­por­tu­nity for farm­ers from Babon­neau to make avail­able their lo­cal pro­duce to con­sumers. The event will in­clude en­ter­tain­ment and sales calls from some of the es­tab­lished busi­nesses on is­land. That same evening, from 8:00 p.m. the vis­i­tors and res­i­dents will en­joy “A Night of Cul­tural Per­for­mances” at the mul­ti­pur­pose cen­tre, fea­tur­ing artistes from Babon­neau.

The Babon­neau con­stituency Coun­cil in­vites res­i­dents of Babon­neau and Saint Lu­cians from all over to be part of this Na­tional Day cel­e­bra­tion in Babon­neau.
