Babon­neau youth suc­cumbs to in­juries

Of­fi­cers at­tached to the Babon­neau Po­lice Sta­tion are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cir­cum­stances which led to the chop­ping death of 19-year-old Terry Louis of Paix Bouche, Babon­neau.

About 8:30 p.m. on Thurs­day De­cem­ber 18, 2014 of­fi­cers at­tached to the Babon­neau Po­lice Sta­tion re­sponded to a re­port of a chop­ping at Paix Bouche.

On ar­rival, they re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that two young men were in­volved in a dis­pute. As a re­sult, Louis re­ceived cut­lass wounds to the up­per part of the body and was trans­ported to Vic­to­ria Hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead on ar­rival.

A 25-year-old res­i­dent of Paix Bouche, Babon­neau is cur­rently in po­lice cus­tody as­sist­ing with in­ves­ti­ga­tions. This is the 34th homi­cide recorded thus far for 2014.
