First Borns Rewarded
On Thursday January 8, 2015 Brydens presented special hampers of supplies to the mothers of the first-born babies at Victoria Hospital for the year.
These hampers contain products distributed by the company through its Kimberly Clarke line. They include Huggies diapers, Huggies Wipes, Kotex Overnight, Kleenex tissue, Cottonelle Tissue with aloe and Gentle soap.
One of the recipients was Sharma Popo of La Toc who said she gave birth to her very first child - a boy - at VH at 7:36 am on January 1, 2015. He has been named Kaiman Ajhani.
“I must say I was pleasantly surprised when I received the hamper from Brydens. It will certainly go a long way in assisting me with my baby,” says Popo who is presently unemployed.
The second recipient, Chantarl Mitchel says she brought her third child - a girl - into this world at 9:50 am on January 1, 2015. Weighing 3 kg she has been named Laila. “I must say I was quite elated when I was surprised with the presentation from Brydens,” says Chartarl who lives in Bexon.
According to a spokesperson from Brydens, it is always a joy to give back, especially at this time of the year when things may be a little harder on persons. For the past few years Brydens and its partner Kimberly Clarke have been coming together to welcome the first-borns in Saint Lucia with wonderful gifts of baby supplies.
Next week a team from Brydens will make similar presentations to the first-borns at St. Jude’s hospital in the south of the island.
