North South Link Road Fea­si­bil­ity Study

As part of the North South Link Road Fea­si­bil­ity Study, Canadian Con­sult­ing En­gi­neers Stan­tec Con­sult­ing In­ter­na­tional will be con­duct­ing a 16 hour ori­gin/des­ti­na­tion sur­vey (ODS) on Thurs­day, 19th Fe­bru­ary, 2014. The ODS will take place on the Cas­tries/Vieux Fort High­way at Rich­fond, Den­nery from 6am to 10pm.

Driv­ers will be asked which town or vil­lage they are com­ing from and their des­ti­na­tion. It is also es­sen­tial to know how many pas­sen­gers and what cargo vol­umes they are trans­port­ing. A per­cent­age of the traf­fic will be asked to par­tic­i­pate and the ques­tion­ing is ex­pected to be 45 sec­onds per ve­hi­cle.

The ODS is serv­ing as a prin­ci­ple ba­sis to cal­cu­late the fu­ture traf­fic flows that will make use of the planned road. The Po­lice will man­age the traf­fic flow for a safe per­for­mance of the ODS ac­tion.
