Jus­tus Sings Praise

This Easter JUS­TUS, the lead­ing youth vo­cal group in Saint Lu­cia, is ex­cited to share with the gen­eral public yet an­other cel­e­bra­tion of mixed choral mu­sic. This con­cert will be held at the Bougainvil­lea Con­fer­ence Room at the Bay Gar­dens Ho­tel on Sun­day 12th April 2014 at 7:00pm. This con­cert will form part of the choir’s an­nual fundrais­ing ven­tures and will hold an en­trance fee of $20.00 Jus­tus-Sings-Praise will al­low 20 young vo­cal­ists, aged 17-27 years through­out the is­land of Saint Lu­cia to show­case their vo­cal abil­ity and in­ter­est­ing har­monies paired with some choral move­ment. JUS­TUS will be shar­ing the stage with the Ev­er­green Singers; also an ini­tia­tive set up by the MU­SIC­MAN Learn­ing Cen­tre and a mix­ture of older singers, who will wow the crowd with their unique har­monies.

Jus­tus-Sings-Praise fea­tures a very wide-rang­ing choral reper­toire un­der the di­rec­tion of Mr. John Paul Bai­ley cur­rent direc­tor of the MU­SIC­MAN Learn­ing Cen­tre and Wind­ward Pi­ano Sales; and of Ja­son C. Joseph (a.k.a Bach­e­lor), Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion Mu­sic Spe­cial­ist, and Saint Lu­cia twice crowned Ca­lypso Monarch.

For this con­cert, JUS­TUS wel­comes four new voices se­lected from their au­di­tion process held ear­lier this year; Mr. Tren­ton James (Tenor), Mr. Bradley Leonce (Tenor), Mr. Sher­von James (Tenor) and Ms. Tabitha Fon­tenelle (Alto). The aim of JUS­TUS is to pur­sue ex­cel­lence in the per­for­mance of the widest pos­si­ble range of choral reper­toire and, in the process, to train young singers to be well-rounded mu­si­cians and to make them be­come choral lead­ers in their schools, churches and com­mu­ni­ties.
