Will Lucian Murder Suspect in Dominica Walk?

The Star (St. Lucia) - - LOCAL -

ASaint Lucian man who was charged with the murder of a Dominican woman in 2013 was expected to have his last days in Court this week. Marcus Charlery had been charged with the murder of 34-year-old Gloria Celestine of Portsmouth, Dominica who was found dead close to a house on the beach in Lagoon, Portsmouth on Saturday, November 9, 2013. The partly decomposed body was discovered by one of a group of Portsmouth residents who had been searching for the woman who had gone missing three days earlier.

Charlery, who had been granted bail last year, had made several court appearances. The STAR learnt that in some of these instances the prosecution and arresting officers appeared un-prepared. As we went to press this week reliably sources told the STAR that the judge was expected to have the case thrown out for lack of evidence.
