It is said that one never for­gets their first time. I will al­ways re­mem­ber and cher­ish mine. I just re­mem­ber want­ing more and re­al­ized that I had so much to learn and so much more to give. I will ad­mit that some­times it hurt, but other times it felt so good that I for­got the pain. I’m tak­ing this op­por­tu­nity to say thank you to all those who con­trib­uted to my First Time.

Ad­dis Abba & Hi­lary Em­manuel: Thank you for my FIRST in­tro­duc­tion to stu­dio record­ing. You gave of your time to let Gale Frank and my­self come into your home stu­dio just to sing un­til we were tired.

Ricky D: Thank you for hav­ing me record with you on your al­bum Ricky D & Friends. My FIRST col­lab­o­ra­tion and CD. Wal­lace Tis­son: Thank you for pro­duc­ing that al­bum and mak­ing me be­lieve that I had po­ten­tial as a singer, en­sur­ing I did not just backup vo­cals but also a small lead part in “Rea­son to Love”. My FIRST stu­dio record­ing. Arthur Tis­son: Thank you for your faith in hav­ing me as the front singer for your band Magic Cir­cle Ex­press and later -Tricets. My FIRST ever band ex­pe­ri­ence. Amala Lun­cheon: Thank you for com­ing to me and rec­om­mend­ing me to Square One to record the song “Elec­tric­ity” with Al­li­son Hinds in Bar­ba­dos. My FIRST col­lab­o­ra­tion with a re­gional artist/ group – although it got me in some hot wa­ter.

Christo­pher Neil: Thank you for pro­duc­ing my FIRST EP, Sha La La, and didn’t ask a dime. I’m for­ever grate­ful.

Toni Ni­cholas: Thank you for ap­proach­ing me and of­fer­ing to man­age and mar­ket me and my mu­sic. My FIRST manager.

Mike Rogers: Thank you for push­ing my mu­sic. My very FIRST ra­dio play was on your pro­gramme and we have re­mained friends.

Vin­cent Small Lewis: Thank you for giv­ing me the op­por­tu­nity to per­form with you at Tea Time Jazz in St. Lu­cia and later on Spice Jazz in Gre­nada. My FIRST Jazz Fes­ti­val per­for­mances ever. La Place Care­nage: Thank you for giv­ing me my very FIRST live Jazz per­for­mance with my own band at Tea Time Jazz, my step­ping stone to the St. Lu­cia Jazz Fes­ti­val.

Stephen Paul: I was in your stu­dio pos­ing for my FIRST pro­fes­sional photo shoot for my al­bum, Sha La La.

Collin Weeks: You shot my very FIRST mu­sic video “Don’t wanna” and ar­ranged for all the dancers and props. Thank you.

Jerry Ge­orge: Thank you for be­liev­ing in me and de­cid­ing that I was worth train­ing to be­come a ra­dio an­nouncer with RCI. My FIRST in­tro­duc­tion to the me­dia world. Ra­dio Caribbean In­ter­na­tional - My FIRST ra­dio fam­ily. You gave me an op­por­tu­nity that changed my life and pushed my ca­reer in the right di­rec­tion. Pete Gibson, may you rest in eter­nal peace. You had great faith in me and you stood by me when things got heated. Ca­ble & Wire­less (now LIME): I got the op­por­tu­nity to host “Star Quest”. My FIRST ever TV host­ing as­sign­ment.

Rick Wayne: The FIRST per­son to con­vince me that I could be so much more. Who pro­pelled me to put my­self out there and show the world that I was made to shine.

Delia Fran­cois: Thank you for con­vinc­ing me to ac­cept Sir Derek Wal­cott’s in­vi­ta­tion to be a part of a play that he was au­di­tion­ing for. From that day at CDF, I have main­tained a great re­la­tion­ship with Mr. Wal­cott and have been act­ing in many of his pro­duc­tions. My FIRST act­ing ex­pe­ri­ence on a lo­cal and global scale. Sir Derek Wal­cott: Thank you for tak­ing me be­yond singing into act­ing. My FIRST ever act­ing role was in the “He­len of Troy”.
