The Star (St. Lucia) - - COMMENT -

The St. Lu­cia Na­tional Culi­nary Team is pre­par­ing to travel to Miami for this year’s edi­tion of the Caribbean Ho­tel & Tourism As­so­ci­a­tion’s (CHTA’s) Taste of the Caribbean Culi­nary Com­pe­ti­tion, to take place from June 12th - 14th, 2015. The fo­cus of this com­pe­ti­tion is to broaden the vi­sion as it re­lates to hu­man re­source culi­nary skills devel­op­ment, and give the team an op­por­tu­nity to show­case their in­di­vid­ual tal­ents and our lo­cal cui­sine. In or­der to im­ple­ment this, a se­ries of prepara­tory din­ners, prac­tice ses­sions and public culi­nary demon­stra­tions that would al­low the team to re­ceive crit­i­cal feed­back and in­put from in­vited pa­trons, while pro­gres­sively hon­ing their com­pet­i­tive skills was or­ga­nized. This could not have been planned and ex­e­cuted with­out the ded­i­ca­tion and will­ing­ness from our spon­sors.
