The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T20 Cricket kicks off in Saint Lucia this Sunday June 21 when the Saint Lucia Zouks come up against the Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel from 4 pm. The games are expected to bring all the fun and excitement that comes with T20 cricket and once again El Dorado rum will add to that mix. El Dorado will continue to be the “Official Spirit” and “Celebration Partner” of the HERO CPL T20 tournament.

Cricket fans can once again celebrate with El Dorado, the world’s number one rum, as they enjoy what has now grown into the biggest party in the sport according to the brand manager. “This year we promise an even greater engagement with our fans and you can expect that there will be new and exciting opportunities to engage with the brand,” says Germaine Serieux, Brand Manager for El Dorado Rum.

Serieux stated that El Dorado is happy to partner with CPL Cricket once again, feedback from consumers having been great in the past. “El Dorado fans are extremely excited about our Step up your Game promotion, where you can purchase any bottle of El Dorado and qualify for weekly draws to win tickets to the games, branded merchandise and much more,” Serieux explains.

El Dorado Rum is certainly looking forward to the four games scheduled to take place at Beausejour starting this Sunday June 21st and expects to see a great number of supporters from Saint Lucia and across the region for the third annual CPL tournament. The Zouks will also come up against St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Wednesday June 24, Guyana Amazon Warriors on Friday June 26 and Jamaica Tallawahs on Sunday June 28th.

“El Dorado has been a huge supporter of the league from the onset, and has shared the vision for a uniquely Caribbean sports league that aims to captivate the world, and it is with absolute pleasure that we are part of what will be the biggest year of CPL yet,” noted Serieux. “Cricket drives West Indians, gives us an identity and it is pleasing to know that HERO CPL has partnered with the world’s best rum for this tournament yet again,” he said.

Germaine affirmed that it is with pride that an international brand such as El Dorado would be aligned with CPL T20 Cricket and leading international players from around the world including Saint Lucia Zouks all-rounder Darren Sammy, Chris Gayle of Jamaica Tallawahs, Dwayne Bravo of Trinidad Red Steel, Shoaib Malik of Barbados Tridents and Kevin Pieterson of the Zouks, among others.

“As we all come out and support those exciting games and rally around the teams, we implore all fans to enjoy the El Dorado range responsibly and take a huge stance against drinking and driving. Let’s make those games fun yet incident free,” Serieux cautioned.
