Miss Super J IGA Meets the Super J IGA Team
For over a decade now, and counting, Super J IGA has supported a contestant of the National Carnival Queen Pageant and this year is no exception. Ayana Alexander, a vibrant 23-year-old, is the company’s representative for 2015.
During a tour of the company’s local produce depot and cold storage warehouse on Monday, Ayana got a firsthand experience of exactly what it takes to get perishable goods and local produce to the supermarket shelves.
At a brief presentation that same day Ayana had the opportunity to meet the members of the company’s service division and the various heads of department. During her brief remarks to the Super J IGA team, an ebullient Ayana said, “I am so excited to be part of the National Carnival Queen Pageant this year and I will make my sponsor, Super J IGA, proud.”
When it comes to the arts and culture of Saint Lucia, Super J IGA is increasingly being recognized as a major contributor towards the movement to preserve Saint Lucian heritage. The company continues to live up to its mandate through the support of institutions like the Folk Research Centre, the Saint Lucia National Trust and a range of activities of interest to Saint Lucian cultural life.
