Miss Su­per J IGA Meets the Su­per J IGA Team

For over a decade now, and count­ing, Su­per J IGA has sup­ported a con­tes­tant of the Na­tional Car­ni­val Queen Pageant and this year is no ex­cep­tion. Ayana Alexan­der, a vi­brant 23-year-old, is the com­pany’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive for 2015.

Dur­ing a tour of the com­pany’s lo­cal pro­duce de­pot and cold stor­age ware­house on Mon­day, Ayana got a first­hand ex­pe­ri­ence of ex­actly what it takes to get per­ish­able goods and lo­cal pro­duce to the su­per­mar­ket shelves.

At a brief pre­sen­ta­tion that same day Ayana had the op­por­tu­nity to meet the mem­bers of the com­pany’s ser­vice di­vi­sion and the var­i­ous heads of depart­ment. Dur­ing her brief re­marks to the Su­per J IGA team, an ebul­lient Ayana said, “I am so ex­cited to be part of the Na­tional Car­ni­val Queen Pageant this year and I will make my spon­sor, Su­per J IGA, proud.”

When it comes to the arts and cul­ture of Saint Lu­cia, Su­per J IGA is in­creas­ingly be­ing rec­og­nized as a ma­jor con­trib­u­tor to­wards the move­ment to pre­serve Saint Lu­cian her­itage. The com­pany con­tin­ues to live up to its man­date through the sup­port of in­sti­tu­tions like the Folk Re­search Cen­tre, the Saint Lu­cia Na­tional Trust and a range of ac­tiv­i­ties of in­ter­est to Saint Lu­cian cul­tural life.
