COCO PALM CHAIR­MAN CHATS UP VIR­GIN HOL­I­DAYS

Coco Palm’s Chair­man Michael Chas­tanet was a guest of Vir­gin Hol­i­days’ new Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Mark An­der­son who was on is­land with his key team mem­bers. As a long-stand­ing part­ner with the hoi­day com­pany, the Chair­man and Mr Ernie Ge­orge, As­sis­tant Gen­eral Man­ager, of Coco Palm had the plea­sure of meet­ing the new Vir­gin Hol­i­days Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor who took up the post last year.

On Mr An­der­son’s first of­fi­cial visit to the is­land, Coco Palm’s Chair­man showed his sup­port for the years of ser­vice to the des­ti­na­tion and ap­pre­ci­a­tion for the sup­port of Vir­gin Hol­i­days. Chas­tanet noted: “Tourism is a vi­tal part of Saint Lu­cia’s econ­omy and when key op­er­a­tors take the time to come on is­land per­son­ally whilst man­ag­ing des­ti­na­tions around the world it is our way at Coco Palm to ex­press our ap­pre­ci­a­tion for their ser­vice over the years.” The Chair­man went on to say, “Given the sen­si­tiv­ity of the tourism in­dus­try it is crit­i­cal we main­tain strong re­la­tion­ships.”

Along in­tro­duced by Vir­gin Hol­i­days was Mr David Geer who has been ap­pointed to a new role on the Lead­er­ship Team with over­all re­spon­si­bil­ity for prod­uct, com­mer­cial, com­pany strat­egy and new busi­ness de­vel­op­ment. Mr Geer has been deeply in­volved in de­vel­op­ing and ex­e­cut­ing Vir­gin Hol­i­days’ Five Year Plan to Win.

Other rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Vir­gin Hol­i­days in­cluded Nikki Gold­smith and Pa­tri­cia Cheesewright along with Des­ti­na­tion Man­ager Caro­line Gal­lichan.
