National Enquirer runs DEATHBED photo of Bobbi Kristina

The Star (St. Lucia) - - INTERNATIONAL -

National Enquirer on Wednesday published Bobbi Kristina Brown’s last known photo showing Whitney Houston’s ill-fated daughter on her deathbed in the final days of her life.

The jarring image that graces the cover of the tabloid, touted as a ‘world exclusive’, depicts the 22-year-old woman lying unconscious under a blanket in her bed at the Peachtree Christian Hospice in Georgia.

Bobbi Kristina had been in a medically induced coma since January 31, when she was discovered unconscious in her bathtub. In June, as hope for her recovery faded, her family decided to move her to the endof-life care facility in Georgia.

The magazine cover also features a smaller photo of Bobbi Kristina’s famous mother lying in her casket in 2012 after her own drowning death.

UK Daily Mail, when reporting on the matter, deliberately obscured Bobbi Kristina Brown’s face, and that of her late mother, as seen on the magazine cover, to protect their dignity in death.

According to the article accompanying the shocking image, the last photograph of Bobbi Kristina while she was still alive was taken just days before her passing on July 26. The identity of the photographer remains unknown, and there is no word on whether the person who took the picture was given permission to do so.

Another image was reportedly taken during her wake as she lay in her casket. That image has not been released yet.

Three years earlier, the tabloid sparked a controversy when it published Whitney Houston’s funeral photo - the same one seen on the cover of the latest issue.

The release of the deathbed snapshot is bound to intensify the feud between the Brown and Houston families who have been locked in a fight over that other photo of Bobbi Kristina, the one showing her lying in her coffin during her memorial service last week.

The yet-to-be seen picture of the deceased has reportedly been sold for six figures after a heated bidding battle. Both sides are accusing the other of being responsible for inviting the unknown guest who allegedly snapped the picture.

TMZ reports that the photo was taken during Bobbi Kristina’s viewing and that the winning bid topped $100,000. It is not known which media outlet purchased the picture. Making matters worse is the fact that intense precautionary measures were taken at both the funeral and wake to make sure this would not happen and that no one would be able to see Bobbi Kristina just before she was laid to rest.

According to reports, the hospice deathbed photo published on Wednesday by the National Enquirer was being shopped around for $100,000.

Pat Houston and her daughter Rayah at the burial service for Bobbi Kristina on Monday. The Houston and Brown families are now feuding over a picture

taken of the tragic 22-year-old in her casket.
