He further explained that the workshop is intended to celebrate the Group’s successful scholarship holders and to motivate students, particularly those entering Secondary School for the first time.

According to Thecla Deterville, Managing Director of Celestial Self Development Centre, the session entailed lessons on life skills, how to approach challenges, working as part of a team, problem solving, identifying strengths and weaknesses and decision making. “We try to make it as interesting and interactive at possible. Students work in groups, in a practical hands-on format, and are given exercises to do which serve as a means of skills transfer,” she said.

Immediately following the workshop was a certificate presentation ceremony for the participants with special recognition for the nine new 2015 ECFH scholarship winners, and special prizes for the two top performers in the 2014/2015 academic year.
