Teddyson John Contributes to the One Caribbean Concert for Dominica
As the nature island of Dominica continues on its recovery and rebuilding process, St. Lucian musician and artiste Teddyson John (TJ), has also made his contribution to the island. At the recently held ‘One Caribbean’ concert staged at the Kingston Oval in Barbados, Teddyson joined many other Caribbean legends who all willingly contributed to the global movement in raising aid for Dominica.
St. Lucia stood well-represented as Teddyson uplifted the audience with his hit single ‘Allez’ which is currently creating waves across the Caribbean and the diaspora. An anthem currently very appropriate for Dominica as the country continues to grapple with the tragedy of Tropical Storm Erika, TJ’s message of always maintaining a spirit of resiliency was clear. He encouraged all present to always get up in the face of adversity, to continue to press on amidst challenges and always have the courage to overcome obstacles.
In special attendance was the Prime Minister of Dominica, Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit who was outwardly moved by the outpouring of assistance and love that his country received by artistes and patrons alike.
TJ was invited by The Pyramid Entertainment Group of Barbados along with other artistes from various Caribbean islands, some of whom included Tian Winter, Maxi Priest, Destra, Tanya Stephens, Admiralty, Mikel Henderson, Edwin Yearwood, King Bubba, Skinny Fabulous and the Luciano.
The highlight of the evening was a very moving ‘Lean On Me’ rendition by all artistes who all joined hands and their voices in true Caribbean unity for Dominica.
Part two of the ‘One Caribbean Concert’ is slated for November in the island of Antigua for which TJ is also scheduled to continue to give assistance.
