Digicel rewards customers with laptops
Digicel continues to inject excitement, engagement and fun in its monthly text to win promotions. The month of September was no exception. Sarfaraz Ahmad and Hewley Sonaram managed to complete the Mission Impossible game allowing them to reach the top spots in the September Text to Win promotion and earning them each a brand new Lenovo laptop.
To get in on the action, customers simply had to text the word “LAPTOP” to 7171 in order to receive missions that would help them ‘defend their country against enemies’. Each completed mission gained the customer points, along with their rank in the game which kept them abreast as to their placement in the game. The more the customers played, the closer they got to win.
Sarfaraz Ahmad and Hewley Sonaram are first-time players in the monthly Text to Win promotion. Sarfaraz Ahmad, a university student, managed to keep focus and continue playing the game so he could remain in the number one spot.
Mr. Ahmad contacted Digicel ahead of the announcement date via social media to inform them that he was the winner. Once the results were received, Mr. Ahmad was indeed the number one spot holder. When contacted he responded: “I really needed a laptop for my studies. When can I collect?” Hewley Sonaram followed closely in position number two. He had absolutely no idea that he had won.
Fiona Smith Marketing and Communications Executive said, “Digicel takes pride in giving back to its customers each month with its continuous Text to Win promotions. Being able to improve the lives of our customers is always an honour for Digicel and we look forward to welcoming more winners every month. Customers can certainly look forward to more value, innovative and exciting promotions with Digicel. Congratulations go out to Sarfaraz Ahmad and Hewley Sonaram on winning this month and we encourage them to continue playing.”
Join in the fun with Digicel’s Text to Win game for Creole Heritage month, with October’s Kweyol Text to Win Promotion. Customers can simply text the word “Kweyol” to 7171 to play the creole words game and test their creole speaking skills, for a chance to be one of four to win $1,000 cash plus a creole cooler filled with goodies for Jounen Kweyol.
