Digicel Supports ARC
Digicel officially confirmed its commitment to the Saint Lucia Tourist Board to support the 30th Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) on Thursday October 29th at the ARC 2015 launch and cheque presentation held at St. James' Club, Choc Bay.
The sponsors' appreciation ceremony commenced with a warm welcome from the Mistress of Ceremony Dahlia Guard, Special Events Manager, Saint Lucia Tourist Board followed by a few short speeches from Louis Lewis, Director of the Saint Lucia Tourist Board; Nicky Cozier, Manager of World Cruising Club; Paul Ash, General Manager IGY Marina and Kentonia Censey-Smith, Digicel's Business Solutions Operations Manager. Then the sponsors were invited to make their cheque presentations while treated to a light breakfast.
Digicel continues to recognize the significance of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers in Saint Lucia and is pleased to be the platinum sponsor for the 8th consecutive year. This year, the ARC is scheduled to host 260 yachts of over 35 nationalities in Saint Lucia. The yachters will set sail across the Atlantic from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Saint Lucia on Sunday November 22nd, 2015.
Digicel is happy that for the first time an extraordinary Saint Lucian, Nicolas Philips, has decided to join the voyage on board the Marlin S and wishes him all the best.
