SPLASH IS­LAND WA­TER PARK CROWNS NINJA WAR­RIOR CHAM­PI­ONS

Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park, the Caribbean’s most ex­cit­ing wa­ter-based at­trac­tion, re­cently hosted its first an­nual Ninja War­rior Com­pe­ti­tion on Novem­ber 14th, 2015 on Re­duit Beach.

The Ninja War­rior com­pe­ti­tion saw eight teams com­pete in three events which in­cluded 5 on 5 wa­ter vol­ley­ball, team re­lay time tri­als and in­di­vid­ual time tri­als. Fifty two par­tic­i­pants rep­re­sented teams from LIME, Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park/Saluna Wa­ter Sports, the Body Hol­i­day, Sea Ad­ven­tures Inc. (Cox and Co.), San­dals Re­sorts In­ter­na­tional, The Aqua­holics (Ri­cardo Say­ers), Team Gre­gory Joseph (aka Zom­bie Robot Ninja Pi­rates) and Bay Gar­dens Re­sorts.

In the end, the Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park/Saluna Wa­ter Sports team was the over­all com­pe­ti­tion win­ner with 25 points, cap­tur­ing the ti­tle of “Splash Is­land Ninja War­rior Cham­pi­ons”.

In the 5 on 5 wa­ter vol­ley­ball, the Body Hol­i­day took first place; sec­ond place went to The Aqua­holics, and third place to Bay Gar­dens Re­sorts.

The team re­lay time trial com­pe­ti­tion was won by Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park/Saluna Wa­ter Sports in a time of 1 minute : 19 sec­onds. Sec­ond place - The Aqua­holics; third place – LIME.

The in­di­vid­ual time trial chal­lenge saw Jonel Au­guste from Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park/ Saluna Wa­ter Sports plac­ing first; sec­ond was Ker­win Bis­cette from Sea Ad­ven­tures Inc. and third was Daryl Bur­ton from Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park/ Saluna Wa­ter Sports.

The com­pe­ti­tion was en­vi­sioned by Sanovnik Des­tang, Ex­ec­u­tive Di­rec­tor, Bay Gar­dens Re­sorts and Mrs. Ju­lianna Ward-Des­tang, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park, and pat­terned on the pop­u­lar show, Amer­i­can Ninja War­rior. They both ex­pressed their grat­i­tude to all the vol­un­teers, par­tic­i­pants, and spon­sors who in­cluded Mon­ster En­ergy Drink, Blue Wa­ters St. Lucia, the Saint Lucia Ho­tel and Tourism As­so­ci­a­tion, Real FM and MBC Tele­vi­sion.

“It was great to see all the par­tic­i­pants of the var­i­ous teams give it their very best in all three com­pe­ti­tions and show­case the tal­ent we have in St. Lucia. This was a fun and ex­cit­ing com­pe­ti­tion and we hope to hold more of th­ese in the very near fu­ture,” said Mrs. Ju­lianna Ward-Des­tang, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor, Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park.

View­ers can catch the ex­cite­ment of the Splash Is­land Ninja War­rior Com­pe­ti­tion when it airs in the com­ing weeks on MBC Tele­vi­sion (Flow 52 and 120, LIME 27 and 42).

Splash Is­land Wa­ter Park would like to once again con­grat­u­late all the win­ners and par­tic­i­pants who gave it their all in this com­pe­ti­tion. The pop­u­lar one-of-a-kind Caribbean wa­ter park also looks to hold its first ever Splash Olympics on De­cem­ber 19th, 2015 - a se­ries of com­pet­i­tive events for age groups 6 - 9, 10 - 13 and 14 - 17.
