Ju­nior Achiev­ers of the Babon­neau and Ge­orge Charles Sec­ondary School left the is­land on Wed­nes­day 2nd De­cem­ber, 2015 to com­pete in the Ju­nior Achieve­ment Com­pany of the Year Com­pe­ti­tion in Ja­maica. The com­pe­ti­tion, which is held an­nu­ally to cel­e­brate the suc­cesses of par­tic­i­pants of the Ju­nior Achieve­ment Com­pany Pro­gram, brings to­gether over 150 par­tic­i­pants from the Amer­i­cas Re­gion. This year Ja­maica plays host to this pres­ti­gious event which is sched­uled from 3rd to 6th De­cem­ber, 2015.

1st and 3rd place win­ners of the JA St, Lucia Com­pany of the Year com­pe­ti­tion, Gem Pa­pier of the Ge­orge Charles Sec­ondary School and Xpress De­signz of Babon­neau Sec­ondary, will be among twenty-one stu­dent com­pa­nies from 13 coun­tries com­pet­ing in the Re­gional Com­pany of the Year 2015.

The JA Amer­i­cas Re­gion Com­pany of the Year Com­pe­ti­tion is a bat­tle of busi­ness skills, in­ge­nu­ity and in­no­va­tion. It fo­cuses on the ac­com­plish­ments of JA Com­pany Pro­gram stu­dents, ages 15-19, dur­ing the aca­demic year and af­fords stu­dents an ex­cit­ing op­por­tu­nity to demon­strate team­work, lead­er­ship, in­no­va­tion and busi­ness skills that will em­power them to take charge of their fu­ture eco­nomic suc­cess.

On be­half of the Babon­neau and Ge­orge Charles Sec­ondary School, the Cham­ber of Commerce ex­presses sin­cer­est ap­pre­ci­a­tion to all who con­trib­uted fi­nan­cially or oth­er­wise to make this ex­pe­ri­ence pos­si­ble for the teams.
