JUNIOR ACHIEVERS OFF TO JAMAICA FOR REGIONAL COMPETITION
Junior Achievers of the Babonneau and George Charles Secondary School left the island on Wednesday 2nd December, 2015 to compete in the Junior Achievement Company of the Year Competition in Jamaica. The competition, which is held annually to celebrate the successes of participants of the Junior Achievement Company Program, brings together over 150 participants from the Americas Region. This year Jamaica plays host to this prestigious event which is scheduled from 3rd to 6th December, 2015.
1st and 3rd place winners of the JA St, Lucia Company of the Year competition, Gem Papier of the George Charles Secondary School and Xpress Designz of Babonneau Secondary, will be among twenty-one student companies from 13 countries competing in the Regional Company of the Year 2015.
The JA Americas Region Company of the Year Competition is a battle of business skills, ingenuity and innovation. It focuses on the accomplishments of JA Company Program students, ages 15-19, during the academic year and affords students an exciting opportunity to demonstrate teamwork, leadership, innovation and business skills that will empower them to take charge of their future economic success.
On behalf of the Babonneau and George Charles Secondary School, the Chamber of Commerce expresses sincerest appreciation to all who contributed financially or otherwise to make this experience possible for the teams.
