Foreign National charged with Money Laundering
On Friday December 4th, 2015 at about 12:01 a.m. police conducted an operation at an hotel situated in the north of the island.
During the operation, a search conducted in the room of Reglio Jesus Patino Reyes, a Venezuelan national, revealed the sum of US $7,610, Euros 17,950, Bolivars VEF 4, six dollars in Chinese currency and EC $5.
Reyes was taken to the Victoria Hospital where he was given a laxative resulting in the expulsion of thirty one rolls of cash equivalent to Euros 14,000.
On Tuesday December 8th, 2015 police formally charged Reyes for the offence of money laundering. He made an appearance before the First District Court on Wednesday December 9th when the matter was adjourned to January 14th, 2016.
AWarrant of Arrest in the First Instance has been issued for Benjamin Collymore of Mongiraud, Gros Islet for the attempted murder of Uriah Farrel of Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
On Saturday November 7th, 2015 at about 9:20 p.m. Farrel sustained a single gunshot wound to the waist area whilst at Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
Collymore is considered to be armed and dangerous.
