As a cor­po­rate cit­i­zen with a deep so­cial con­science, Dig­i­cel con­tin­ues to change lives across the na­tion un­der its Brighten Your Christ­mas theme. Com­ing off the heels of its Feed the Need pro­gramme in which the com­mu­ni­ties of La­borie, Vieux Fort and Choiseul re­ceived hearty Christ­mas break­fasts; Dig­i­cel's 2015 Ham­per Dis­tri­bu­tion pro­gramme got on the way this week with de­liv­er­ies to a host of or­ga­ni­za­tions, char­i­ties, fam­i­lies and in­di­vid­u­als. The two day drive com­menced on Wed­nes­day De­cem­ber 16th, in the north­ern part of the is­land in com­mu­ni­ties such as Cas en Bas, Bal­ata, Marc­hand, Ciceron and Wa­ter works Road. Spe­cial sur­prise de­liv­er­ies were made to the Ade­laide’s Home, St. Lucy’s Home and the Tran­sit Home. Team Dig­i­cel con­tin­ued on Thurs­day De­cem­ber 18th with more de­liv­er­ies in the southern com­mu­ni­ties of Bruceville, Vieux-Fort, La­borie, Belle Fond and new De­vel­op­ment Soufriere. Among the many re­cip­i­ents were per­sons with dis­abil­i­ties, vis­ually im­paired, bedrid­den, sick and shut-in, un­der­priv­i­leged fam­i­lies, se­nior cit­i­zens and oth­ers. The Liv­ing Wa­ter Home in Soufriere, Com­fort Bay Se­nior Cit­i­zens Home and the com­mu­nity re­la­tions branch of the St Lucia Royal Po­lice Force were also re­cip­i­ents of Dig­i­cel Ham­pers. Dig­i­cel’s so­cial drive will fur­ther heighten this week­end with the host­ing and col­lab­o­ra­tion of sev­eral kids Christ­mas par­ties and toy drives in­clud­ing the Boy’s Train­ing Cen­tre, Smile for a Child and Blazin FM’s Christ­mas Toy Drive.
