DIGICEL SPREADS MORE CHRISTMAS CHEER THROUGH HAMPER DISTRIBUTION DRIVE
As a corporate citizen with a deep social conscience, Digicel continues to change lives across the nation under its Brighten Your Christmas theme. Coming off the heels of its Feed the Need programme in which the communities of Laborie, Vieux Fort and Choiseul received hearty Christmas breakfasts; Digicel's 2015 Hamper Distribution programme got on the way this week with deliveries to a host of organizations, charities, families and individuals. The two day drive commenced on Wednesday December 16th, in the northern part of the island in communities such as Cas en Bas, Balata, Marchand, Ciceron and Water works Road. Special surprise deliveries were made to the Adelaide’s Home, St. Lucy’s Home and the Transit Home. Team Digicel continued on Thursday December 18th with more deliveries in the southern communities of Bruceville, Vieux-Fort, Laborie, Belle Fond and new Development Soufriere. Among the many recipients were persons with disabilities, visually impaired, bedridden, sick and shut-in, underprivileged families, senior citizens and others. The Living Water Home in Soufriere, Comfort Bay Senior Citizens Home and the community relations branch of the St Lucia Royal Police Force were also recipients of Digicel Hampers. Digicel’s social drive will further heighten this weekend with the hosting and collaboration of several kids Christmas parties and toy drives including the Boy’s Training Centre, Smile for a Child and Blazin FM’s Christmas Toy Drive.
