Homi­cide in Ca­coa, Babon­neau

Saint Lucia recorded its 29th homi­cide on Satur­day De­cem­ber 26, Box­ing Day, a na­tional hol­i­day. Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the death of 23-year-old Jer­vaughn Coureur alias “Slow Mo” of Ca­coa, Babon­neau.

On the day in ques­tion at about 11:17 p.m. po­lice re­ceived a re­port of a shoot­ing at Ca­coa, Babon­neau. Coureur was later dis­cov­ered in his dwelling house with ap­par­ent mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds to the body.

He was trans­ported to the Vic­to­ria Hos­pi­tal where he was pro­nounced dead by a med­i­cal doc­tor.
