NOBEL LAUREATE WEEK
Plans are well underway for the staging of activities for the annual Nobel Laureate week in honour of the island’s two Nobel Laureates Derek Walcott and the late Sir Arthur Lewis. Both men share the birthday of January 23.
Nobel Laureate week is held under the patronage of Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy and this year’s theme is Celebrating Excellence: Transforming Lives. The activities will be officially launched on Tuesday January 12th at Government House.
