Micoud Library Workshops
Micoud Library and the community action group People Empowering People (PEP) will host a series of free weekly workshops in February 2016 to help address the issue of double-digit unemployment figures in Micoud District. The workshops will focus on specific job-seeking skills for young people including practice in creating resumés and cover letters, filling applications and interviewing for employment as well as basic computer literacy and personal finance.
Workshops will be held each Wednesday morning in February, from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at Micoud Library.
The focus of the workshops will be for unemployed/ underemployed young people ages 18-25, but any member of the public is welcome to attend.
Members of PEP, educators and business professionals in the Saint Lucia community will assist with the presentations in the workshops, providing guidance and inspiration to the new generation of young people coming to the workforce.
The workshops are supported by a grant from U.S. AID, administered through the US. Peace Corps.
