Courts Optical NOW OPEN!
Local furniture and electrical superstore Courts, known and appreciated for offering the world’s best brands in furniture, appliances and electronics, celebrated the opening of its new Courts Optical store on January 15th, 2016.
The new Courts Optical store will seek to make a strong and differentiating statement in the local market whilst offering a new approach to the business of optics. With the company’s entry into the world of optics, along with being known and recognized as the retailer of choice for world class brands and unbeatable value, Courts plans to become a leader in Saint Lucia in the supply of optical services and trendy fashion eyewear products.
Unicomer OECS Director of Sales, Mr Johnathan Johannes, in his address to the specially invited guests, spoke of Courts’ commitment to the overall economic development of the nation. “Today marks the culmination of an idea that began about two years ago; an idea about a new and exciting business venture for Courts in St. Lucia – the creation of an optical brand . . . offering leading eye care services in the world’s best brands in eyewear, at affordable prices, with easy access to credit.”
The Honourable Minister for Commerce, Business Development, Investment and Consumer Affairs, Emma Hippolyte, praised Courts for its confidence in the economy. She thanked the company for investing in the country placing emphasis on the company’s plans to open the highly anticipated Courts megastore. Among the specially invited guests was the Honourable Minister for Health, Wellness, Human Services and Gender Relations, Alvina Reynolds, plus representatives from Allied Health Services as well as executives of the Unicomer OECS Group.
