Bound­ary dis­putes sem­i­nar

The St. Lu­cia In­sti­tute of Sur­vey­ors (ISSL), in as­so­ci­a­tion with the UK-based Royal In­sti­tute of Char­tered Sur­vey­ors (RICS), will, on Wed­nes­day 24th Fe­bru­ary 2016 hold a one-day ses­sion on the topic “Bound­ary Dis­putes and Neigh­bourly Prob­lems” in the Con­fer­ence Room of the Royal by Rex Re­sorts, Re­duit be­gin­ning at 3:00 p.m. The ses­sion will be con­ducted by Mr. David Powel FRICS, a Char­tered Sur­veyor and Bound­ary De­mar­ca­tion Ex­pert based in the United King­dom. Mr. Ted­burt Theobalds, Vice Pres­i­dent of the ISSL, said that the pre­sen­ta­tion will cover per­ti­nent ar­eas and will ex­plain how to han­dle prop­erty dis­putes; man­ag­ing ex­pec­ta­tions in bound­ary dis­putes; the lim­i­ta­tions of deed plans and sur­vey­ors’ mea­sure­ments; in­ter­nal (part­wall) bound­aries; long stand­ing bound­ary fea­tures that may dif­fer to deeds; li­a­son be­tween sur­vey­ors and lawyers; giv­ing ev­i­dence in court, and mark­ing-out a bound­ary.
