The Star (St. Lucia) - - LOCAL -

On Tuesday, March 8, 2016 a post mortem was conducted on the body of Christopher Diachuk, a Canadian national who was vacationing in Soufriere.

The examination revealed that he died as a result of a heart attack due to coronary artery disease also known as heart disease (a buildup of plaque in your arteries, which blocks blood flow).

According to reports, on Saturday, March 5, 2016 about 2:00 p.m. Diachuk went on an unauthorized hiking expedition on Gros Piton in Soufriere. While there he encountered difficulty and lost consciousness.

He was transported to the Soufriere Hospital where he was pronounced dead by a medical doctor.
