Gros Islet, Sar­rot res­i­dents get help from RBC

In an ef­fort to help com­mu­ni­ties, RBC Royal Bank, through its Em­ployee Re­source Groups, has em­barked on a pro­gramme to make a dif­fer­ence in the com­mu­ni­ties it serves through shar­ing and car­ing for those in need. En­ti­tled RBC Cares About You, the bank joined forces and re­sources to make up care packs, dis­tribut­ing them to homes and shel­ters for chil­dren, the el­derly and women.

Part­ner­ing with CAR­I­TAS, a com­mu­ni­ty­based or­gan­i­sa­tion of Gros Islet, RBC em­ploy­ees spear­headed ef­forts to col­lect do­nated items from col­leagues and pre­pare ham­pers, which were pre­sented to mem­bers of the com­mu­nity in need of as­sis­tance. “It was grat­i­fy­ing to see the ap­pre­ci­a­tion on peo­ple’s faces when they re­ceived items and we are in­deed grate­ful that we could as­sist in shar­ing much-needed sup­plies,” said San­dra Fontenelle, Coun­try Man­ager of RBC.

Ad­di­tion­ally, a fam­ily of five in Sar­rot re­ceived a care pack­age com­ing out of the ef­forts of RBC Royal Bank.

In reaf­firm­ing its com­mit­ment to the com­mu­nity, RBC Royal Bank noted,“We be­lieve there are grow­ing needs in our com­mu­ni­ties and we want to make a dif­fer­ence and get in­volved for the ben­e­fit of the com­mu­ni­ties in which we op­er­ate.”
