Tea Time Jazz 2016 Launched

The Saint Lu­cia Air and Sea Ports Au­thor­ity (SLASPA) re­cently held the of­fi­cial launch of the 19th An­nual Tea Time Jazz. The long-ex­ist­ing fringe event on the cal­en­dar of events for the Saint Lu­cia Jazz & Arts Fes­ti­val fea­tures free per­for­mances by lo­cal artistes while of­fer­ing pa­trons com­pli­men­tary tea, cof­fee and light snacks.

The en­thu­si­as­tic host of the event, Marva Greenidge, Mar­ket­ing Spe­cial­ist – Com­mer­cial Devel­op­ment at SLASPA, un­veiled the lineup for the event which kicks off on Wed­nes­day May 4th with lo­cal song­bird Aiyah (Mayah Michaela Leonce) along with Michael Robin­son. On Thurs­day May 5th the Dig­i­cel Pan­time Steel Or­ches­tra will per­form a range of melo­di­ous hits from vary­ing gen­res in­clud­ing Soca, Ca­lypso and R & B. For the grande fi­nale, The Derek Yarde Project - “DYP” - will grab the minds, hearts and souls of the TTJ crowd as it wit­nesses their dy­namic and en­er­giz­ing ren­di­tions.

The main spon­sors Dig­i­cel, LUCELEC, 1st Na­tional Bank, Bank of Nova Sco­tia, Brice and Com­pany Ltd. and the ten­ants of La Place Care­nage were all rec­og­nized for their in­valu­able sup­port in mak­ing the event a re­al­ity.

SLASPA looks for­ward to wel­com­ing and en­ter­tain­ing pa­trons on Wed­nes­day 4th and Thurs­day 5th May, 2016 at La Place Care­nage Duty Free Shop­ping Mall be­gin­ning at 3:00 p.m. on both days.
