The UWP leader went on to appeal to all Saint Lucians to be on their best behaviour. “We need to have a very peaceful and violent-free election campaign. At the end of the day, we all are Saint Lucians and we must learn to respect each other even if we support different parties.”

His calls were echoed by Nancy Charles of the UWP during a press conference on Friday morning. Party chairman Guy Mayers also called for a “free, fair and peaceful campaign and general elections”.
