Two More Homi­cides

Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing the cir­cum­stances sur­round­ing the death of 25-year-old Dwight Amos McFar­lane of Christoph Rowe near Gar­vey Street in Vieux Fort.

On Mon­day May 16, 2016 about 12:05 a.m. po­lice re­sponded to a shoot­ing in Christoph Rowe.

Upon ar­rival, the of­fi­cers dis­cov­ered the mo­tion­less body of McFar­lane with what ap­peared to be gun­shot wounds. He was pro­nounced dead at the scene by a med­i­cal doc­tor.

This was the eleventh homi­cide for 2016.

On Tues­day May 17 a post mortem ex­am­i­na­tion was con­ducted on the body of McFar­lane. It re­vealed that he died as a re­sult of trau­matic head in­jury sec­ondary to a gun­shot wound.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions con­tinue into this mat­ter.

Also on Mon­day May 16, 2016 Gre­gor Steven, also known as “Boyo” of Wil­ton’s Yard, Cas­tries, suc­cumbed to gun shot wounds.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, on that day at about 2:20 a.m. Steven was walk­ing along the Morne Du Don Road when two gun­men fired rounds of am­mu­ni­tion at him.

Steven sus­tained mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds. He was trans­ported to the Vic­to­ria Hospi­tal for treat­ment but sub­se­quently suc­cumbed to his in­juries mak­ing this the . twelfth homi­cide for 2016.

On Wed­nes­day May 18 a post mortem ex­am­i­na­tion was con­ducted on the body of 15-year-old Gre­gor Steven. It re­vealed that he died as a re­sult of hem­or­rhagic shock sec­ondary to mul­ti­ple gun­shot wounds to the chest.
