Prime Min­is­ter wel­comes Test Cricket Del­e­ga­tions to Saint Lu­cia

The Gov­ern­ment of Saint Lu­cia on be­half of the peo­ple of Saint Lu­cia would like to ex­tend a warm wel­come to the West Indies and In­dian cricket del­e­ga­tions that are due to ar­rive in Saint Lu­cia shortly, for the third Test Match at the Daren Sammy Na­tional Cricket Sta­dium. Hon­ourable Allen M. Chas­tanet re­ceived the news of the Test Match with great en­thu­si­asm. “As Prime Min­is­ter, I was most im­pressed with the sup­port that our Zouks team got in the re­cent CPL matches and like­wise, we are ap­peal­ing to the public to give that same level of sup­port to the West Indies Test team.”

Prime Min­is­ter Chas­tanet com­mented fur­ther that: “As a Test play­ing na­tion we are in our early stages of host­ing Test cricket and this will be our fifth Test Match, but in or­der to at­tract more Test cricket, the West Indies Cricket Board will be looking at fan turnout as a ma­jor de­cid­ing fac­tor”.

This will be the first Test Match to the hosted at the sta­dium since the re­cent re­nam­ing cer­e­mony of the Beause­jour Cricket Grounds to the Daren Sammy Cricket Sta­dium on July 21, 2016.

The Windies and In­dia en­counter be­gins from the 9th and con­cludes on the 13th of Au­gust.
