John is the first Saint Lucian ever to be nominated for the International Reggae and World Music Awards which were held October 2 at the Coral Spring Center for the Arts in South Florida.

“The news of Teddyson winning this prestigious award did not come as a surprise to us,” said Flow St. Lucia Marketing & Communications Executive, Shermalyn Sidonie-John. “Over the years he has proven beyond doubt that he is an incredibly talented artiste who puts his heart into his work and works hard to achieve his dreams. Through it all, he has remained humble, despite all of his successes and triumphs. Flow is extremely proud to be his sponsor.”

Popularly known as TJ, John is a former Groovy Soca Monarch whose music took local soca fans by storm, including his smash hits ‘Land of Wine’ and ‘Push Back’. He has featured on a number of albums, including the popular ‘Paradise Riddim’ alongside T&T’s Machel Montano, Nadia Batson, Kerwin Dubois and Farmer Nappy.

He is also a mainstay of the Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival and has performed throughout the Caribbean, as well as in the US, Canada and the UK.

Flow has been steadfastly providing John with all the support he needs to help him further his career and broaden his exposure by bringing his music to an international audience.

“We feel extremely honoured to have Teddyson as our brand ambassador. For us this reaffirms our continuing commitment to the development of Saint Lucia’s artistes. Our model of sponsorship places the emphasis on supporting their long-term career development, and puts their growth, financial stability and security first,” said Sidonie-John.
