DRESS YOUR BEST BUT EXPECT TO SEE BETTER - CAP MAISON LAUNCHES GREAT TASTE ANNIVERSARY EVENT
The usual fashionable anniversary celebration for Cap Maison Resort and Spa is taking on a slight twist this year. The social butterfly event has seen, over the years, scores of supporters turn out in their best themed outfits and festive masks. However, Ross Stevenson, general manger of the resort stated, “This year we wanted to try something different, hence Great Taste; great taste in food, fashion, wine and fun.”
The resort will be collaborating with Massala Bay, Bryden and Partners, Harry Edwards and Jacques to host the first-ever Food and Wine event as a “party charity fundraiser” on October 15.
As per the event’s main mission, money from the celebrations will go towards a charity. This year the event will raise funds for TOGS- The Oliver Gobat Sport Fund.
Also new to the resort’s event is a highly anticipated fashion show. This addition is said to be in keeping with what the event organisers are hoping to execute by pairing the showcase with the jewellery, culinary and wine culture of Saint Lucia. The fashion show climax will be from a new collection by The Yard’s fashion Icon Oya Soysal.
But what is Great Taste without great tasting food? Chef Jacques, who is a classically trained French Chef with almost 40 years’ experience internationally, will be one of the masters to tantalise your taste buds fusing his own French discipline with local flavours.
